The Association was established in Launceston, Tasmania in 2002 in response to the dissatisfaction expressed by Launceston ratepayers with the high-taxing and high-spending  policies of Launceston City Council.

Its role is to represent Launceston’s ratepayers in obtaining equity through:

  •  lower municipal rates

  • a reduction in Council spendin

  • better value for ratepayer funds

Please click on Policies for a summary of how we try to achieve these goals for our members.
